主講人簡介：

Euijune Kim 是韓國首爾大學農(nóng)業(yè)經(jīng)濟與農(nóng)村發(fā)展系城市與區(qū)域經(jīng)濟學教授。他目前擔任首爾大學區(qū)域研究與空間分析融合專業(yè)項目(Integrated Program in Regional Studies and Spatial Analytics ）主席。Kim 教授擁有康奈爾大學區(qū)域科學博士學位，擅長城市與區(qū)域經(jīng)濟學、空間與基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施政策、投入產(chǎn)出和可計算一般均衡模型等領(lǐng)域。他的研究成果廣泛發(fā)表在該領(lǐng)域的主要期刊上，包括 Risk Analysis, Journal of Transport Geography, Papers in Regional Science, Urban Studies, Real Estate Economics等。Kim 教授目前是美國西部區(qū)域科學協(xié)會副會長，曾擔任 Annals of Regional Science, the International Journal of Urban Sciences，Journal of Korea Planning Association 等SSCI、KCI期刊的主編。他還擔任美國伊利諾伊大學香檳分校（Regional Economics Applications Laboratory）、內(nèi)華達大學拉斯維加斯分校（ Public Policy and Leadership ）、日本九州大學（ Faculty of Economics ）、香港大學（ Urban Planning and Design ）的客座教授。

講座內(nèi)容：

This study explores the impact of transportation infrastructure development on regional growth, with a focus on the theoretical role of distance in urban and regional economics. We propose and apply a Spatial Computable General Equilibrium Model to 229 urban and rural areas in Korea. Our analysis specifically examines the changes in Korea's spatial economic structure following reductions in travel times between Seoul and its three major southern cities. The findings of this research are used to discuss and suggest potential directions for regional policy. This paper contributes to the understanding of infrastructure's role in spatial economic dynamics and policy development.
